Every Kitty Is Special & Unique
Every kitty is special, with it’s own unique personality, behavior and traits.
As most cat lovers know, while all cats share some characteristics, it’s fun and interesting with each new kitten to discover what they are like.
Outward Appearances
Looking at their outward characteristics to see what color their eyes are, the color pattern on their fur, to the texture and length of the fur. What color their paw pads are.
Different breeds of cats have different specific looks, like the Siamese and Himalayan. Persians are known for their long fur and pug nose, but vary in colors. Some Persians have what they call a “doll face.”
The same breed of cats can have various looks, like the Ragdoll breed. There are various colors and patterns in the Ragdoll breed, like Seal Point (dark brown ears, face, front legs and tail), Blue Point (gray face, ears, front legs and tail), Seal Bi-Color, Blue Bi-Color and more. There are more variations among the breed, like the shades of blue eyes, length of fur, colors of paw pads and more.
There are also so many varieties for the domestic short hair – where their colors include orange tabby, gray tabby, calico and more.
Personalities and Behavior
It’s fun to see the personalities and behavior of cats. Some have more gentle behavior. Some are more submissive to people and other cats. Some are more assertive. Cats display behavior that is considered absolutely adorable or endearing, and sometimes they surprise you with something.
With cats in the same household, there may be many differences of their habits and preferences, from the specific spots they like to sleep, to a specific toy they like to play with, the food they eat, how much they like to explore, if they watch TV and more.
When you have multiple cats, sometimes they like to chase each other for fun. Many cats seem to love having other cats around – to watch, talk to, play with and sleep by. Ginger loves to lick her babies heads, even though they are adults now!
Talking and Purring
Some cats like to talk more than others. When you get to know cats, you can start to learn their voices and differentiate between their cries. Thankfully I can tell which cat is crying without seeing them, just by knowing their cries. Some cats purr loudly while others purr very quietly. Some purr often and some not as much.
Beau and Bella
Beau and Bella are “twins” as I call them, brother and sister, born to Ginger in the same litter. They are both Ragdoll cats with seal bi-color markings, so it’s interesting to see their differences in behavior and looks.
Beau’s hair is a lot longer – some of the softest cat hair I’ve ever felt – and very long like Persians. I like to call it “heavenly” soft. Bella’s fur is also heavenly soft, silky soft, but slightly different texture than Beau’s and length is not at long. Beau’s hair requires more brushing.
Their personalities and behavior also differ from each other. Bella is more assertive, Beau is more laid back. Bella loves doing tricks just for the fun of it, while Beau usually waits until I’m filming. They both love to talk but their voices are also very different from each other and the way they cry.
